Wanted to get out despite the early snows and happened to see Jun's Blog entry about running LCC trail.  Sounded good to me.  The weather cleared a bit this afternoon and I had not been on that trail for a year or so.  It was perfect.  I went up all the way to the abandoned mill at the 3.5 mile mark.  Didnt see a soul...just Jun's tracks.  About 2 inches of snow.  Actually was nice because the trail can get pretty rocky and this just cushioned things out a bit.  The river and snowy trees were a gorgeous peaceful refreshing sight.

Slow painful miles on the Pipeline from Burch Hollow to Elbow Fork and bit further up toward Mt Aire.  Feeling tired and heavy today.  Canyon pretty. The road has now been closed off for the winter past Burch Hollow.  Was warmer than I thought it was going to be and started with a heavier long sleeve shirt...had to run shirtless for 2 middle sun solitary miles to cool down.  Scared some of the wildlife with the Pale Dread but no humans had to suffer.  Nice to be free for a moment in the sun and yellow dappled walls of aspen.

Was determined to go back up the LCC trail.  8-10 inches of newly fallen snow.  Mostly first tracks except for 3 deer I was following much of the way.  Ended up being a snowshoeing adventure.  Just went to the 3rd bridge and back.  Totally beautiful.

I hadnt been on the LCC Quarry trail all year and now 3 times in 10 days or so. It is so dang beautiful and peaceful when I a have been (odd times so virtually no one there).  Today did 6 miles on that trail with 3 up and 3 down.  The trail is mostly packed snow now so it must get a lot of traffic on the weekends.  Wore shorts..was perfect.  Wanted a bit longer run so due to time drove to the trailhead of Bells canyon reservoir just a mile away and got out for more trail time.

Ran the switchbacks to the reservoir and then around the water and up Little Bells canyon trail so I would make the roundtrip with 9 miles total for the day.  On the drive took a drink of nice flat coke and it hit the spot...much better on the stomach for me than a gu.  Funny though, I had a handheld water bottle in my Nathan backpack with the Coke in it and didnt open it until mile 6 and opened it with my teeth and the built up pressure in there sprayed a mist of coke air out my nostrils, ears, eyes and forebrain with pretty good force...had to chuckle...would be a misfortunate way to die...trail runner found dead with head blown off from Coke explosion.

Felt great with slow and steady pace.  Mule style today.

Loop around Millcreek road to home.  Tried out the new shoe...Brooks PureCadence.  I love it so far.  Has a bit more stability than the Kinvara, which I liked but didnt love.  Will see how it holds up.  Feels good though.

Left car at Park and Ride at base of Little Cottonwood and was going to go up Quarry trail but on whim ran 1.3 miles to Bells Canyon park area and run up and around Bells Reservoir and back for a 5 loop.  Was debating on more trail but ipod died and got hungry so PB an J on Great Harvest Wheat won out.

Went to this local 5k with my daughter...I asked her if we should run together and she said "sure, but don't expect me to talk to you...running is my alone time"  haha true enough...so we ran our own races and had a blast.   This course starts at Wasatch Dans and goes up the first mile into Millcreek canyon around the guard station and then back down to Wasatch then North to 33rd and back to the start.  Tough 5k course because there is a lot of ups including the last half mile...so I was happy with splits of 8:05, 7:13, 7:43....felt it was good effort and was still going pretty strong for the last mile up.  Ran home after race at a casual pace.  Beautiful day...Happy Thanksgiving all.

Great day on North BST in O-Town with Oreo.  Glad I came up as the day was pristine and pretty dang cold at the start.  Once sun broke and the wind died it was a great time.  Beautiful views over the valley.  I was hungry for a hamburger from about mile 6 on so...Dylan's Mount Ogden Burger with a shake followed the run for a perfect outing. Oreo in strong, springy shape.  Nice to see Bryce as we were finishing...O town is happening place.

Loop up 45th and down through old neighborhood by Skyline High.  Then back on 27th.  First two miles up then 3 to cruise home.  Felt a bit squatty.
